Special Congregational Meeting
April 2007
Bruce Krueger called the meeting to order and
Pastor David Ebersole opened the meeting with a prayer.
The 109 people in attendance were all asked to
sign in for historical purposes.
Bruce Krueger briefly reviewed the past
14-month history. He recognized and thanked the members of the Transition
Task Force (Dwight Rumpel – Chair, John Brandau, Kim Burnam, Carol Brown,
Ruth Jacobsen, Mike Keil, Roger Moore, Charlene Swanson, & Mike Tate).
Bruce Krueger also recognized & thanked the members of the Call Committee
(Kevin Carr – Chair, Dwight Rumpel, Charlene Swanson, Tom Padilla, Ron
Gauerke, Virginia Monroe, Beth Edmonds, & Bridget Frazer). The
congregation also thanked them for their time and commitment to this
process.
Members of the Call Team then reviewed their
process and reviewed Pastor Meggan Prosser-Gebhardt’s biography. Members
of the Call Committee also provided personal testimony regarding Pastor
Meggan.
The resolution before the congregation is
“Shall the Reverend Meggan Prosser-Gebhardt be called to serve as Pastor
of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church”. Written ballots were passed out to all
confirmed members of the church. There were 105 ballots collected and she
was unanimously approved for Call here at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Bruce Krueger next reviewed the compensation
package with those in attendance. After a brief discussion, the
congregation unanimously approved the compensation package (Barbara Corbin
/ Ron Willis).
The meeting was adjourned (Sydney Tast / Joan
